The
photograph below shows Independence Hall in Philadelphia. It was
there that the Second Continental Congress met and voted to approve the
Declaration of Independence in 1776. The building was also the
place where the the U.S. Constitution was written during the
Constitutional Convention in 1787. The Liberty Bell was installed in the tower of this famous building. It has since been brought down to a special pavilion at street level, as the second photo shows, so that visitors can see it more easily. |
